10/25/2022 0 Comments Dark souls 2 steelheart ellie![]() ![]() Raime, Ivory King and the kitties beat me. So endscore: Gryz vs Dark Souls 2: 36 - 3. Small mistakes make me lose health, I hardly get the chance to drink Estus. So I dodge like crazy, or keep blocking, and never have an opportunity to deal damage. I seriously think From have fucked something up with the mouse-buttons in DS2). When they are all 3 dead, he usually has 20%-40% health left. But the NPCs (three left at this phase) start dying. The king keeps jumping around, so it is hard to do any damage to him. (Stone Ring and Twinblades do miracles stunlocking the enemy NPCs). I often finish with the two NPCs health at 70%-80%. Summoned 2 NPCs and the 4 Knights who help me. So I either solo the bosses, or I summon the NPCs and then run through HorseFuck Valley again. If you force a logout (alt-tab, and kill the process), then when you load the save-file, the NPC-summons are not there. The biggest problem is that you can't log out and save the game when you have 2 NPCs summoned. I can get through HorseFuck Valley just fine. Gank squad went down 2nd try (thanks to the NPCs). (I had logged out in front of the entrace, so I thought I'd give it a try). Surprise surpise, Blue Smelter demon went down first try. I played a bit of DS2 SotFS this weekend. Once I knew that, the boss died the 2nd try. But to the right, behind the wall in your back, you can actually stand around the corner, and be safe ! You can heal there, avoid fire AoE, etc. Your camera starts moving out of control. You don't finish your heal in time for the next swing. ![]() #Dark souls 2 steelheart ellie fullIf you stay in front of him for the full duration of the fight, your chances to die are much larger. (Old Iron King is another boss with a trick. ![]() Maybe I should go look for the other 2 DLCs first. Then I finished the main quest-line, and then went back to kill the Fume Knight. ![]() I did most of the Tower before I continued with Velstadt. Oh well, I ran into the Brume Tower by mistake, after killing the Old Iron King. Or something, some gear, some spec, to give the player an edge. I couldn't beat the Stray Demon in DS1, until I made myself Quelaag's Firesword, and went in naked, with only rings and 2-handing my sword.įume Knight is different. Some bosses require particular resist gear (Seath is easy with magic and curse resist-gear, if I remember correctly). Same with the Rotten Greatwood, I needed another weapon to hit his vulnerable spots (which were higher than my Halberd could reach). I made a sword I could swing from left to right, and I beat her. I remember I couldn't kill Quelaag because my Halberd was mostly missing (poking under the belly of the spider). So I use my regular Thief set, so I am light on my feet. I've tried Havel's armor, my fire-resist armor (Alonne). It seems a little bit better than the straight-swords, but not much. But it is too slow for me, and I get myself killed even quicker. It does noticeably more damage than my Longsword+10 or my Varangian+10. Doesn't make much difference compared to my Drangleic shield. But bosses where you need to rely on rolling I usually summon an NPC to face-tank the boss. Mmm, now that I think of it, in both DS1 and DS3 I soloed bosses where I could use a shield. I soloed the Nameless King, and even though I am crap, and it took me dozens of tries, it kinda proves I am not complete crap. And if I try to predict what he does, try to anticipate each swing even before he starts the swing, I quickly make mistakes, and the Fume Knight hits me as soon as my roll is over. Basically when I see the boss starting a swing, I am already too late to click my roll-button. But even with double-clicking disabled, it feels like my character often just doesn't respond to me clicking my mouse. Or else I can't even roll or block (my 2 mouse buttons are roll/jump/sprint and block). First there is the bug where every time I boot the game, I have to explicitely disable double-clicking. I feel the game does not deal with the mouse properly. And once I have to finish the fight solo, I die within a minute. Then Ellie dies when the boss is at 30%, maybe 20% on my best tries. We get the boss into the 2nd phase easily, with Ellie having more than 50% health. The best strategy for me seems to be to summon Steelheart Ellie and let her tank. I even cheesed the Ancient Dragon (to make Vendrick last shorter).īut the Fume Knight I just can not do. For the Throne Watchers, Nashandra and Aldia I summoned 2 NPCs, and each fight took less than 5 tries. Velstadt and Vendrick took maybe 10 tries, but I soloed them. And the for rest I summoned an NPC to tank the bosses. So far all bosses have been relatively easy. Well, it looks like I can't beat the Fume Knight. ![]()
